Balade en Arts et en Musique, 11th Edition, Maisons-Laffitte 6, September

On the occasion of the 11th edition of La Balade en Arts de Maisons-Laffitte, painter LESSIA, Artist No. 15 on the route, welcomes you on Sunday, 6 September 2026, from 10:00 to 00h00, in a family home and its garden at 24 avenue Carnot. Her paintings will be brought together for the day, including two monumental works devoted to the figure of the horse, presented for the first time in Maisons-Laffitte.

Familiar to the city as much as to the history of art, this animal will run through the exhibition as a guiding thread. A partner in play or battle, a companion in labour or a symbol of prestige, it seems always to have existed somewhere between the strength we attribute to it and the fear that moves it. Brave yet fearful, domesticated yet unpredictable, it remains a figure full of contradictions, whose representations have changed alongside those of our own societies. The mediation team will be present throughout the day to explore this iconography with you, look at the works together and allow the conversation to unfold freely.

The day is designed precisely for this. Make a stop along the Balade, take some time to look at the paintings, then settle down in the garden around a chessboard.

From 17:00, complimentary drinks and a buffet will be served in the garden, extending the day over a glass. Come alone, with family or with friends, stay for ten minutes or a few hours. The paintings will be on the walls, the games on the tables, and the house open to everyone.
